Investments in infrastructure and the environment are essential to South Florida’s economy and quality of life.
Palm Beach County is home to major highways, international and commuter airports, passenger and freight trains, ports, and waterways. That is why I have been proud to support efforts to invest in and improve our nation’s infrastructure, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law) under President Biden. This landmark legislation has already delivered over $16 billion for Florida projects to upgrade transportation infrastructure, access to high-speed internet, reliability of our power grid, and clean water projects, all while creating good-paying jobs. Members of Congress also have the ability to request funding for specific local projects to benefit their communities through a process called Community Project Funding. I’m proud to have secured over $39 million in funding for local projects over the past several years, including projects to build affordable housing, improve water quality, optimize traffic flow, construct emergency operations centers, and more. If you’d like to take a look at the projects I’ve requested for 2026, you can click here.
In South Florida, we also know that investing in and protecting our environment is vital for our health and local communities. I have helped secure billions in federal funding for Everglades restoration projects to revitalize this ecosystem and improve water supply for over nine million Floridians. I also proudly supported the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which makes historic investments in clean, affordable energy, reliable power grids, and modernized infrastructure.
Republicans are working to undo this progress--I’m committed to standing up for these investments that strengthen our economy and protect our natural resources.
