Millions of Americans are on the verge of their health care premiums skyrocketing. Notices are already going out, and yet Republicans are keeping the government shut down rather than negotiating a bipartisan solution to this crisis. More people depend on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Florida than anywhere else in the country, and if Republicans don’t come to the table soon, more than 4 million Floridians will see their premiums rise—even doubling or tripling in some cases. Working families can’t afford that, and Democrats won’t stand back and let it happen.

Democrats are fighting back to protect affordable health care, reopen the government, and make sure working families aren’t left behind.
