West Palm Beach, FL – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement after Governor Ron DeSantis signed an unprecedented expansion of Florida’s school voucher program into law. The new provision would funnel hundreds of millions of additional taxpayer dollars away from public schools, harming an already over-burdened education system. 

“Public education aims to provide all children, regardless of their socio-economic background, with equal access to knowledge and skills. This fosters social mobility and helps reduce income inequality,” said Rep. Frankel. “This new law will pull money away from an already underfunded public school system hurting under-resourced families the most.”
