Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) today released the following statement on Hanukkah, which begins tomorrow at sundown:

“Jewish families across South Florida and the world will gather to light the Menorah and celebrate the eight days of Hanukkah. During this joyous holiday, we retell the story of the Maccabees who liberated the Jewish people from persecution and rededicated the Jewish Temple. The Festival of Lights reminds us to appreciate the blessings in our life while keeping in mind those still suffering at the hands of oppression. Wishing all who celebrate a very happy Hanukkah.”
