In recent years, Governor DeSantis and our State Government have implemented an alarming series of policies undermining voter participation, including weaponizing law enforcement to target voters across the state to harassing citizens who signed petitions for a reproductive rights ballot initiative. I’m pushing back. That is why I have supported legislation to strengthen the Voting Rights Act, including the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would strengthen voting rights by expanding and strengthening the government's ability to respond to voting discrimination. You can also count on me to speak out against any attempts to restrict your access to vote by mail, as seniors, people with disabilities, service members and countless families in our community rely on it.
