Congresswoman Lois Frankel released the following statement today in recognition of the thirteenth anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001.
“Today, our nation pauses to remember the men and women who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11th, and their families, who still grieve for them. We reflect on the heroism of the firefighters, police officers, and all first responders who died in the line of duty while trying to save others, and honor the brave men and women in uniform who continue to work each day to keep us safe.
“These horrific events serve as important reminders that we must continue to be vigilant in our efforts to protect our country and allies from terrorists who want to destroy our democracy and way of life.”
