Frankel Honors Black History Month

Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) today recognized Black History Month and issued the following statement:

“This February we honor Black History Month and celebrate the tremendous accomplishments and contributions of the African American community, especially in South Florida, and at the same time we rededicate ourselves to equality, progress and freedom for all,” Frankel said.

This Black History Month’s theme is “At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality,” as this year is also the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
