Tomorrow, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) will attend the 63rd National Prayer Breakfast with two faith-based leaders from Florida’s 22nd Congressional District – Rabbi Daniel Levin and Rabbi Leonid Feldman.
“Today we have the opportunity to put aside our differences and unite in prayer and reflection,” said Frankel. “I’m honored to be joined at this inspirational event by Rabbi Levin and Rabbi Feldman, two uplifting leaders from our community.”
"It is a great honor for me to participate in this spiritual gathering when we focus on what unites us as human beings and not on the differences between us,” said Rabbi Feldman. “The world desperately needs this now, perhaps more than ever."
"It is an extraordinary honor to share in this powerful gathering,” said Rabbi Levin. “In a world so filled with violence and discord, maliciousness and hate, how wonderful to be part of such a mixed multitude dedicated to that which spiritually unites us as a nation. I am so grateful for the opportunity to join with my colleagues of so many different faiths and traditions. This is what makes America truly great."
Rabbi Feldman is the Spiritual Leader of Temple Beth El in West Palm Beach, where Frankel is a member. Throughout his life, he has experienced total assimilation, Jewish rebirth, violent anti-Semitism, imprisonment in Russia as a Zionist activist, and freedom in the West. His life experiences enable him to teach and lecture on Judaism with a passion and perspective that is unique and exhilarating.
Rabbi Levin serves as the Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth El of Boca Raton, the congregation where he began his career in 1996. As the congregation’s leader, Rabbi Levin works to create a community where each member is inspired to lead a life of spiritual richness, meaning, purpose, and service.
The National Prayer Breakfast is an annual, bipartisan event that brings together faith, community, political, and business leaders from around the globe to pray and reflect upon issues facing the nation and the world. The President and Mrs. Obama will be in attendance, as well as the Dalai Lama.
