strongCongresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) today invited all high school students in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District to participate in the 2015 Congressional Art Competition: “An Artistic Discovery.”
“The Congressional Art Competition is a great way for students in South Florida to showcase their creativity and artistic talents,” Frankel said. “As someone who loves art and painting, I encourage all students from 9th through 12th grade to participate in the competition.”
This year, Frankel will serve as Co-Chair for the Congressional Art Competition alongside Pennsylvania Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson.
The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation. The winning piece of art from each Congressional District across the country is displayed in an eleven month exhibit in the U.S. Capitol complex. The winner will be invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Capitol in honor of the exhibit in June 2015.
In addition to these honors, Congresswoman Frankel is hosting a reception on May 7 for all students who submit artwork at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, where the winner will be announced.
