Lake Worth, FL – Today Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement after visiting the new Residential Child Caring Agency in Lake Worth, Florida that is holding unaccompanied teenage immigrant girls.

“Today at the shelter, we saw the lucky ones. Unlike many other detention facilities in our country, the Rinconcito del Sol facility is well-run, spacious and clean. I spoke with the girls and they told me of the horrendous conditions in their home countries. The shelter is providing them with a safe space where they have access to clean clothes, food, doctors and education. I will visit this center again in a few weeks when they have reached the capacity to make sure everything is still running smoothly.”
