West Palm Beach, FL – Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) is calling for Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta’s immediate resignation following ongoing developments in the Jeffrey Epstein case, where he cut a “sweetheart deal” in 2008 while he was a US attorney in Florida:
“Secretary Acosta allowed Jeffrey Epstein, a sexual predator, to roam the streets freely after there was substantial evidence he sexually abused and trafficked young girls. Acosta must resign, or President Trump should immediately remove him from his post.”
In April during a House Appropriations Committee hearing, Congresswoman Frankel pressed Acosta on his handling of the Epstein case (clip). He was unwilling to answer her questions and Frankel followed up with a written request for responses. As of today, Secretary Acosta has still not responded. A list of her questions can be found here.
