Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement after transmission of the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

“President Trump abused his power by withholding critical foreign assistance for his own personal political benefit and then obstructed Congress during a lawful investigation. Last month, with my support, the House voted to hold the President accountable. It is now up to the Senate to hold a fair trial that must include access to evidence and testimony from key witnesses. No person is above the law, not even the President of the United States.”
