Today, Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement on protests that took place this weekend in West Palm Beach:

“Many are in pain and angered by yet another awful act of police brutality caught on a video in Minnesota that reflects the sad reality of racial injustice in our country. A peaceful day of protests in our community and respectful interactions between participants and police should not be overshadowed by a night of vandalism by a small group of people whose actions were counterproductive and wrong. The way to honor the lives of George Floyd and others who have been wrongfully killed at the hands of law enforcement is for all Americans to work together for systemic changes to fight racism, a biased justice system, and economic inequality.”
