Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement after President Trump nominated Amy Coney Barrett to succeed Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court:

“This nomination, if it gets confirmed by the U.S. Senate, will create a Supreme Court that will threaten the health care of millions of people and undermine Justice Ginsburg’s legacy of fighting for equality for all Americans. The Senate has never confirmed a nominee to the Supreme Court this close to a presidential election, and I hope the Republican Senators have some integrity and follow their own words from 2016 in allowing the American public to have a say in this critical lifetime appointment.”
