Today, Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement after a Joint Session of Congress certified the Electoral College votes, confirming President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the official winners of the 2020 election.

“Early this morning, Congress stood up for democracy and defended the will of the voters by certifying the results of the 2020 election. This came despite an unprecedented attack on the Capitol by a mob that was incited by Donald Trump,” said Rep. Frankel. “I am optimistic that with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House, better days are ahead.”
