October 28, 2021
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s announcement of the Build Back Better framework. “This framework is the most transformative investment in children and caregiving in generations—transforming the lives of millions of children, saving parents thousands of dollars, and adding two years of free, universal schooling to our education system for the first time in over 100 years,” said Rep. Frankel. “It will be the largest effort to combat climate change in history. It will cut taxes for tens of millions of middle-class families. It is the biggest expansion of affordable health care in a decade. I’m looking forward to voting for it.” The House plans to vote on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act later this week. After passing the House, it will go to the President’s desk for his signature. The rest of the agenda will follow in the coming weeks.
