West Palm Beach, FL – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21), released the following statement after the Senate confirmed Thomas R. Nides as the next U.S. Ambassador to Israel.

“Israel is a critical ally that contributes so much to U.S. innovation and defense,” said Rep. Frankel. “The confirmation of Ambassador Nides will continue to strengthen our partnership. Having an Ambassador to Israel in place that understands the special relationship our two countries share is critical to the advancement of shared goals, and I am confident that Ambassador Nides will excel in this new role.”

Ambassador Nides was nominated for his position by President Biden in June. He previously served as deputy secretary of state for management and resources under Secretary Clinton between 2011 and 2013.
