Rep. Frankel Announces Next Round of Payments for Families with Children

Washington, DC – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21) released the following statement as the next payments of the Child Tax Credit hit the bank accounts of families across America.

“The Child Tax Credit payments have been life-changing for parents across Palm Beach County and for millions of other parents around the country,” said Rep. Frankel. “In Florida alone, more than two million payments were sent last month, putting money directly in the pockets of working families to help pay for food, child care, school supplies, and more. This is a middle-class tax cut and every eligible parent in Palm Beach County should make sure they are getting these critical payments.”

The American Rescue Plan increased the maximum Child Tax Credit for eligible families to $3,600 annually per child ages 0-5, and $3,000 annually per child ages 6-17. This expanded credit is being delivered in monthly installments of up to $300 per child on the 15th of every month, through the end of the calendar year, with a final lump sum of up to $1,800 per child on families’ 2021 tax returns.

The Build Back Better Act would extend these increased payments for American families through 2022 and ensure that the families most in need would receive the maximum benefits.
