Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21), released the following statement in response to a reduction in premiums for Medicare Part B and Medicare Advantage for 2023. For the first time in more than a decade, monthly premiums will decrease instead of going up.

“Lower Medicare premiums are great news for millions of seniors and people with disabilities,” said Rep. Frankel. “Congressional Democrats and the Biden Administration have been fighting hard to lower costs for seniors, and this decrease in premiums is a result of the bold action we’ve taken to put people over politics and block Republican efforts to put Medicare on the chopping block.”
