Washington, DC – Tonight, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s State of the Union address.

“Under President Biden’s leadership, we’ve witnessed an American comeback. We’ve achieved historic job growth while modernizing our infrastructure, lowering drug prices, combatting climate change, and supporting our Veterans,” said Rep. Frankel.

“Tonight, the President robustly laid out his vision for our future, showing the American people the clear contrast between him and the former president. Unlike his predecessor, Joe Biden will continue to defend reproductive freedom, defend democracy, stand by our allies, Israel and Ukraine, and build an economy from the bottom up and middle-out working to bring down costs for American families.”

Rep. Frankel’s guest for this year’s State of the Union was Dr. Cherise Felix, an OBGYN serving at Planned Parenthood in West Palm Beach, who was forced to relocate from Tennessee after that state’s extreme abortion ban forced her to close her practice.
