Washington, DC – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement in response to President Trump’s joint address to Congress.

“The President came into office promising to lower costs on day one. Instead, families across America have seen the price of groceries go up and the stock market plunge. Seniors and veterans—who have sacrificed so much—are fearful that services they rely on will get disrupted as federal workers lose their jobs to pay for massive tax breaks for billionaire donors,” said Rep. Frankel.

“Not only has the President failed to lower costs, but his chaotic policies have put Social Security, Veterans benefits, and Medicaid in danger for millions of Americans,” continued Rep. Frankel. “Instead of fighting for working families, he’s prioritizing the wealthiest few—leaving everyday Americans to pay the price. And just this week, he chose side with Putin over Ukraine, undermining democracy and global stability.”
