Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement on Hanukkah, which begins Sunday night at sundown:

“Jewish families across South Florida and the world will gather to celebrate eight nights of Hanukkah, when we recall the bravery of the Maccabees who liberated the Jewish people from persecution and rededicated the holy Temple in Jerusalem.

During this Jewish Festival of Lights, we celebrate miracles and blessings, while keeping in mind those still suffering at the hands of oppression. Wishing all a Hanukkah sameach, happy Hanukkah.”
