Frankel Announces $1 Million FEMA Grant to PBC for Aftermath of Hurricane Matthew

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21), announced a $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to reimburse Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department for overtime costs incurred during Hurricane Matthew. Hurricane Matthew hit the coasts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina in October 2016.

“Hurricanes wreak havoc on communities, and also their budgets. This grant offers relief to Palm Beach County’s Sheriff Office, allowing them to put their resources towards serving the County,” Frankel said.
