Under the Biden-Harris Administration, we have created a record 15.7 million new jobs, bringing the unemployment rate below 4 percent for a 50-year low. During the 117th Congress, Democrats passed landmark legislation including the Inflation Reduction Act, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act, which are already generating an average of 2.9 million jobs per year in sectors such as construction, electrical work, transportation, and engineering, as we work to make our transportation and energy sector more sustainable, energy-efficient, and resilient.

As we build jobs at a record pace, we must ensure that workers are paid and treated fairly and have access to earned benefits. I am proud to support the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act, which would expand labor protections to ensure workers have the right to organize and collectively bargain for benefits in the workplace.

I will continue to invest in policies that create good-paying jobs and stimulate economic growth while protecting workers and consumers.
