Now Serves on Two Committees: Transportation and Infrastructure and Foreign Affairs

Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) was named to the Foreign Affairs Committee today and made the following statement:

“I look forward to joining the Foreign Affairs Committee, which will allow me to work on issues related to national security and international relations that are important to South Florida. The Foreign Affairs Committee currently has jurisdiction related to and including: national security; policies and activities of the State, Commerce and Defense Departments; foreign assistance; war powers, treaties, executive agreements and the deployment and use of US Armed Forces; peacekeeping, peace enforcement and enforcement of UN or other international sanctions; arms controls issues; embassy security; promotion of democracy and public diplomacy. *
