Rep. Frankel Statement on Arrest of Epstein Associate Ghislaine Maxwell

Today, Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement after longtime Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested by the FBI for her involvement in Epstein’s child abuse and sex trafficking.

“At long last, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s enablers, Ghislaine Maxwell, has finally been arrested for sex abuse. While we cannot undo the damage Epstein caused the survivors of his abuse, I hope she is brought to justice. My colleagues and I will continue to push for transparency, as victims and the public still deserve to know why a prolific child molester was given a sweetheart plea deal in 2008 instead of a long prison sentence. South Florida prosecutors owe the victims and our community an explanation.”
