Rep. Frankel Announces Opening of Military Academy Nomination Process

West Palm Beach, FL – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) announced the beginning of the military academy nomination process for the upcoming academic year. As a Member of Congress, Rep. Frankel has the distinct privilege of nominating students from Florida’s 21st Congressional District to some of America’s most prestigious military academies, including: The U.S. Naval Academy, The U.S. Military Academy, The U.S. Air Force Academy, The Merchant Marine Academy, and The U.S. Coast Guard Academy*.

“As a mother of a U.S. Marine War Veteran and the daughter of a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, I have a deep appreciation of our men and women in uniform,” said Rep. Frankel. “I am honored to have the opportunity to nominate the best and brightest from our community to our nation’s military academies and wish this year’s applicants the best of luck.”

The academies provide a tuition-free, four-year undergraduate education and prepare successful applicants to be officers of the U.S. uniform services.  The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

To apply for nomination, please send an email to Trevor.Fleming@mail.house.gov. Applications are due by October 31st, 2021.
