Rep. Frankel Announces Next Round of Payments for Families with Children

West Palm Beach, FL – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21) released the following statement as the next payments of the Child Tax Credit hit families’ bank accounts.

“I’ve already heard from so many local parents who have told me how life-changing these payments have been,” said Rep. Frankel. “They have helped them pay for everything from child care while they go back to work, to groceries, to diapers for their children. This tax cut is putting money directly in the pockets of millions of American families and helping our economy grow. That is why we are working hard in Congress to extend these payments with the Build Back Better Act.”

The American Rescue Plan increased the maximum Child Tax Credit for eligible families to $3,600 annually per child ages 0-5, and $3,000 annually per child age 6-17. This expanded credit is being delivered in monthly installments of up to $300 per child on the 15th of every month, through the end of the calendar year, with a final lump sum of up to $1,800 per child on families’ 2021 tax returns. Families who do not normally file taxes can still receive money using the IRS Non-Filer Sign Up Tool.

The Build Back Better Act would extend these payments for American families through 2025.
