Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) released the following statement in response to President Biden’s first State of the Union address.

“President Biden and Democrats are building a better America and standing up for our values at home and abroad,” said Rep. Frankel. “We’ve already witnessed historic economic growth under the Biden-Harris Administration, including the most new jobs created in a year and largest drop in unemployment ever. The plan the President outlined today will only continue to help our economy grow from the bottom-up and middle-out to ensure that every American—not just those at the top—has an opportunity to succeed.”

“President Biden was also clear tonight in his approach to our foreign adversaries: In the fight between democracy and tyranny, democracy will always win. I am proud to stand with the Administration in its support for Ukraine and look forward to continuing to work in close partnership with the White House on these important and challenging issues.”

Rep. Frankel’s guest for President Biden’s State of the Union address this year was Allison Boettcher, the owner of Blue Mountain Coffee House in West Palm Beach. Allison is a local heroine who showed incredible tenacity and strength as she persevered through the COVID-19 pandemic with assistance from the Biden-Harris Administration.
