Washington, DC – Today, Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21), issued the following statement in response to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson becoming the first Black woman to be confirmed to the United States Supreme Court.

“I share the joy of most Americans that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Biden’s Supreme Court pick, has been confirmed, making her the first Black woman in our nation’s history to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Rep. Frankel. “Throughout her long career, Judge Jackson has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and justice for all. She brings to the Court a bright legal mind, critical experience, and a new perspective.”
