Frankel Statement on Israel’s 68th Independence Day
Washington, May 11, 2016
Today, Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) issued the following statement honoring Israel’s 68th Independence Day, or Yom Haatzmaut.
“Today, I join Israelis in celebrating their accomplishments and rejoicing in their freedom. I was born just a few days after Israel’s independence and grew up alongside the Jewish State, watching it develop into a strong ally in democracy, even in the face of existential threats. Every year on this day, I am reminded of the strength and courage of the Israeli people.
“Yom Huledet Sameach – happy 68th birthday to our enduring friend, the State of Israel.”
