Today, Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement in response to the proposal the White House released yesterday in an attempt to end the Hamas-Israel war:

“On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a war on Israel with a horrific attack. This has resulted in unimaginable violence and suffering for innocent Israelis and Palestinians alike. With that said, I welcome the President’s proposal to finally bring this war to an end,” said Rep. Frankel.

“Israel has already accepted the deal. The decision now rests with Hamas. If Hamas agrees, this brutal war can end, the remaining hostages will be reunited with their families, Gazans will have a chance to have their communities rebuilt, and we will take an important step toward peace in the Middle East.”
