Dozens gathered Thursday for a sit-in at West Palm Beach City Hall to call for tougher gun laws. The group was led by U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel. At the sit-in, resident held pictures with the faces of gun violence victims. From mass-scale shootings to street gun violence, Frankel said she's pushing for two specific laws to pass next week. "We want two common-sense gun bills to pass next week. One is lets close this gun show loophole. Everyone who buys a gun must have a background check. And listen, if you are too much of a risk to the security of the country to be allowed to fly on a plane, you should not be able to buy a gun," said Frankel. The U.S. House is back in session on Tuesday. |
