Frankel Announces Immigration Town Hall, Telephone Town Hall

On Wednesday August 28, Congresswoman Lois Frankel will participate in a town hall on immigration reform hosted by the Florida Immigrant Coalition at 5:30 p.m. at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth and hold a telephone town hall in the evening from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

The town hall at Palm Beach State College is open to the public and constituents who want to join the telephone town hall must sign up on Frankel’s website www.frankel.house.gov.

These forums are a continuation of Frankel’s efforts to communicate with South Floridians through a wide range of events and avenues. Since taking office in January, she has: held roundtables on issues like economic development, gun violence prevention, immigration reform, human trafficking and the veterans claims backlog; toured and visited local municipalities, hospitals, businesses, schools and held Q&A sessions and discussions; and helped lead events on important issues such as making college more affordable for students and the impact of across-the-board budget cuts known as the sequester. In addition, Frankel has taken advantage of technology to communicate with South Floridians by telephone town hall and through e-newsletters, social media and her website.
