They include sexual harassment, lack of family-friendly paid leave policies and affordable child care, and the under-valuing of jobs primarily filled by women. That’s why as Chair of the Democratic Women’s Working Group, I have sponsored legislation and funding to enforce equal pay laws, worked to bolster spending on quality, affordable child care, require paid family leave, raise the minimum wage, and just recently introduced the EMPOWER Act to combat workplace harassment."
