Rep. Frankel Slams Trump Admin’s Attack on 62 Million Women’s Health Coverage

West Palm Beach, FL – Today Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21) made the following statement after the Trump Administration issued rules allowing employers, schools, and insurers to deny birth control coverage on "moral" grounds. This action undermines the Affordable Care Act’s requirement that all insurance plans must cover birth control with no copay.

“Here we go again, another Trump attack on women’s health. Trump’s newest actions will put at risk the health of 62 million women and girls who currently rely on birth control. The fact is: birth control is health care. It not only prevents unintended pregnancies, it also treats serious illnesses and improves women’s health, saving many lives. We must not let Trump turn back the clock!”
