Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement today in recognition of Pope Francis’ historic speech before a joint session of Congress.

“Today, Congress and our nation heard from one of the world’s great humanitarians. The Pope’s timely, compassionate message of helping the vulnerable, protecting our planet, and giving opportunities to our youth transcends politics and religion.”

Following the Pope’s address, Frankel hosted a roundtable discussion with her guests for the event, six students from Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach.
